EasyFoal Alarm System
EasyFoal is a foaling alarm system that works by tracking the mare’s pre-foaling behaviour and movement.
The EasyFoal system monitors the mare 24/7, both in the stable and in the paddock or field.
The EasyFoal system comprises of a Sensor and a Collecting unit and is non-invasive, and simple to use!
The 70gram EasyFoal Sensor is vertically installed on the top of the tail with special adhesive tape. There is no need for veterinary assistance. The sensor is then held firmly in place for up to 15 days. Immediately upon installation, the sensor is working, and after foaling is instantly reusable with another expectant mare. The EasyFoal Sensor is highly reliable, with over 90% detection reliability.
Once foaling begins the sensor triggers the EasyFoal Collecting device which sends an audio alert and SMS message to the authorised stud /foaling manager. On average, the foaling system sends an alert 10-20mins before foaling.

Easy Foal – Installation of Sensor
Simple and easy to install without the assitance of a veterinarian.
Step 1. Clean the mare’s tail with absorbent paper so that it is clean and dry.
Step 2. Place the first layer of adhesive tape around the tail (at the level of the anus and vulva) 2 to 3 turns are enough. Be careful not to tighten it to avoid a tourniquet.
3. Position the sensor on the adhesive at the top of tail with the arrow visible and pointing upwards in line with the tail (do not position the sensor at the bottom of the vulva).
4. Once in place continue to wrap the adhesive tape until it is fixed firmly in place.
Easy Foal –Â Installion of Collector
In order to send alerts, the EasyFoal Collector must be equipped with a SIM card activated on the network of the place where the device will be installed.
Step 1. SIM. The SIM card size is standard (not micro or nano)
Step 2. PROVIDER. Choose an operator present in the country.
Step 3. COVERAGE. Ensure that the chosen operator’s network provides sufficient and continuous coverage of the area where the device will be located.
Step 4. TECHNOLOGY. Minimum 2G operation.
Step 5. MOBILE PLAN. Bill-pay only. (avoid prepaid cards, an exhausted package would not allow the transmission of alert)
Step 6. PIN CODE. The card must not have a PIN code, or it must be deactivated before being inserted into the collector (by inserting it into a mobile phone and changing the settings)
