How it works? Containing magnesium and lemon balm as its active ingredients, Easi Now provides highly available magnesium. In the body, magnesium regulates the transmission of stimuli from muscles and nerves. Magnesium plays a key role in the brain pathways which moderate the stress response, most likely by increasing the activity of an inhibitory chemical in the brain called GABA, which has a calming effect on the horse. Studies have shown that combining Magnesium with an appropriate botanical (herbal) compound is likely to give the best outcome in reducing excitability.
Lemon Balm has been used for 500 years to treat ‘disorders of the nervous system’ in humans. Like all botanicals, it exerts its effects in several ways, many of which are not fully understood, though like magnesium the increase of GABA levels at the nerve-endings is likely to be its main mode of action.
